Pave Engagement Rings

For example, pave engagement rings are quite popular. The word pave refers to a ring style that features clusters of small diamonds set close together. It refers to the look of cobblestone paved roads that feature small stones placed next to each other. The tiny diamonds in a pave setting ring can add up to a dramatic impact.


Pave rings are a great way to get a lot of sparkle for less money because tiny diamonds are less expensive. There are three main types of pave rings. The most simple type is a band with one row of pave diamonds. The band width is the same as the stone width which gives the illusion of a full diamond band. In the center is a larger centerpiece stone. Then there are wider bands made to give a three-dimensional look. There is a center row of diamonds in addition to other rows set at an angle. The third type of pave ring is one without a center stone but with all the pave diamonds. This is a great style for men or for an anniversary ring.

You can purchase the pave style ring at any jewelry store or even online. It is important to try on rings before making a choice because although a ring may look gorgeous under glass it may not suit your finger. Pave rings may take some getting used to if you're not accustomed to wearing them. One alternative to the pave ring is the baguette ring. The baguette ring features rectangular shaped diamonds flanking the center stone set in a prongs. This is different from the pave style which features smaller stones clustered together.

Pave engagement rings are timeless in their beauty. You can find antique pave rings as well as modern pave rings. There are so many different styles out there, most of which are set in platinum and gold. Cleaning a pave ring is just like cleaning a traditional diamond. You may decide to have your pave ring professionally cleaned and polished every so often. When these rings are clean they sparkle with the dazzle that only diamonds offer. You can also find coordinating pave bands to go with your engagement ring if you want a matching look.
